Our Constitution
The MVCF Constitution was endorsed by members at a Special General Meeting on 23 August 2021.
It sets out our purpose, membership categories, the role of the Executive Committee, meeting and voting procedures, and the rules governing the operation of the Forum.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is responsible for the governance of the Forum, including representing members, communicating with stakeholders, planning meetings and events, and managing Forum finances. Office holders are the Convenor, Co-Convenor, Treasurer, and Secretary & Public Officer, supported by General Members elected by the membership.
Formal recognition
The Molonglo Valley Community Council was formally recognised as the ACT's eighth Community Council on 1 July 2021, following a motion in the ACT Legislative Assembly moved by Dr Marisa Paterson MLA in February that year.
We operate alongside the other recognised Community Councils across Canberra, providing a non-political forum for residents and businesses of the Molonglo Valley.
